One part Benedictine
A twist of lime
Ice cubes
Place two or three ice cubes in a bar glass and add brandy and Benedictine. Stir and strain into a small cocktail glass. Decorate with the twist of lime.

One measure No. 1 McDowell’s Brandy
One part Crème de Cacao
One part cream Ice cubes
Place four ice cubes in a cocktail shaker, add all the ingredients and shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and serve undecorated.
Brandy Sour
Four measures No. 1 McDowell’s Brandy
One part lemon juice
One part orange juice
Sugar
A slice of lemon
Ice cubes
Place six cubes of ice in a cocktail shaker and pour in the brandy, lemon juice and orange juice. Add sugar to taste - half a teaspoon to a teaspoon per glass is usually enough. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass. Decorate with a slice of lemon.
Brandy Manhattan
Four measures No. 1 McDowell’s Brandy
One part vermouth
A dash of Angostura bitters per glass
A maraschino cherry
Ice cubes
Place four ice cubes in a bar glass. Add the brandy, vermouth and a dash of bitters. Stir well, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Decorate with the maraschino cherry on a cocktail stick.
Bull’s Milk
One part No. 1 McDowell’s Brandy
Sugar syrup
A cup of milk
Grated nutmeg
Ground cinnamon
Ice cubes
Place four ice cubes in a cocktail shaker. Add the brandy, milk and sugar syrup to taste. Shake well and strain into a highball glass. Sprinkle nutmeg and cinnamon over the top.
